PICK YOUR WEAPON.
Pro tip: every coffee person owns at least three brew methods they never use.
FRENCH PRESS
Bold, full-bodied, zero paper filter. Press and drink. Maximum satisfaction, minimum fuss.
AEROPRESS
Fast, versatile, airport-friendly. The Swiss Army knife of coffee equipment.
POUR OVER
Slow, meditative, dangerously addictive. As much ritual as it is beverage.
MOKA POT
Stovetop espresso for the impatient romantic. Loud, bold, unapologetically dramatic.
ESPRESSO MACHINE
The full commitment. No half measures. Your kitchen counter will never look ordinary again.
COLD BREW
12–24 hours of patience. Smooth, low-acid, concentrated. Ready when you finally are.
The best brew method is the one you actually use every morning.
SECTION 03 — BEAN INTELLIGENCE
KNOW YOUR BEANS.
Not all coffee is created equal. Understanding what is in your bag changes everything about how you brew — and how you taste.
SINGLE ORIGIN
From one farm, one region, one season. Every sip tells you exactly where it came from. Terroir in a cup.
BLEND
The greatest hits album of coffee. Deliberately consistent, crowd-pleasing, and chronically underrated by snobs.
ESPRESSO ROAST
Dark, intense, built for pressure. Dense sweetness, chocolate, caramel. The espresso machine's closest friend.
FILTER / LIGHT ROAST
Bright, acidic, wildly complex. The coffee nerd's holy grail. Brewed light, drunk slowly, talked about endlessly.

MATCH YOUR MOOD.
THE HOW-TO.
POUR OVER
- 1. Rinse filter, preheat your vessel.
- 2. Bloom: 50ml water for 30 seconds.
- 3. Pour slowly in concentric circles.
- 4. Rest. Taste. Adjust next time.
FRENCH PRESS
- 1. Add coarse grounds to press.
- 2. Pour all water in at once.
- 3. Stir once. Lid on. Wait 4 min.
- 4. Press slowly. Pour immediately.
AEROPRESS
- 1. Use the inverted method.
- 2. Add grounds, pour hot water.
- 3. Stir 10 seconds, cap on.
- 4. Flip at 1 min. Press in 30s.
The ratio is the recipe. Everything else is personality.

FIELD NOTES.
- Water quality matters more than your grinder. Use filtered water. Always.
- Fresh roast does not mean roasted today. 7–14 days post-roast is the sweet spot.
- Coffee stales 2 weeks after opening. Buy less at a time, more often.
- The grind size changes everything. Too fine = bitter. Too coarse = sour. Find the middle.
- Never store coffee in the fridge. Room temperature, airtight, away from light.
- Always pre-wet your filter. The paper taste is real and it ruins excellent coffee.
- Bloom is not optional. Give your grounds 30 seconds to outgas before you pour.
- Buy whole beans. Grind fresh, every single time. No exceptions, ever.
The best cup you have ever had was probably just better water.— A humbling field observation
